Collection: Joslin Studio

After a decade long tenure working in the Australian Fashion Industry and a lifetime of influence from her artist-parents, Designer Elinor Joslin founded her label Joslin in early 2018.

Joslin’s debut Resort 18 Collection launched in October 2018, with her signature linen dresses catapulting the brand into the Australian market.

Joslin describes her design aesthetic as ‘Romantic styling for the Minimalist Woman’, with Joslin’s collections boasting signature styled ruffles, button detailing, pin-tucking, bodice and smock silhouettes - offering accessible luxury imbued with modern sophistication and elegance.

Joslin is designed discerningly with a philosophy that centres around high-end design and detailing, natural fabrications and traditional techniques with a simplicity that allows women to feel both confident and comfortable.

Joslin uses only fabrications derived from natural compositions in each and every design, synthetics and plastics are only used when there is no natural alternative, or when it benefits the natural composition. Fabrications include Joslin’s signature Linen and Ramie, both naturally occurring and sustainable compositions due to the flax-plants ‘zero’ waste and bio-degradable properties. Fabrications also include silks, silk-cottons, organic cottons and cotton-based broiderie-anglaise lace and yarns such as cotton-cashmere, merino-wool and recycled cotton-linen.

Collections experiment with both rich and soft colours, and interesting colour combinations that pair with beautiful floral artworks, hand-sketched by Joslin.
